Canada’s annual commercial seal hunt is the largest slaughter of marine mammals on the planet. Facing harsh criticism the world over because of the hunt’s cruelty and unsustainability, the Canadian government and fishing industry have spread much misinformation.

Their primary target of the seal hunt is the harp seal, and the hooded seals are also killed. They were killed at the Gulf of St.Lawrence which is located at west of Newfoundland and east of the Magdalen Island. This is one of the fishermen’s off season activity. They did this activity because the seal’s skin can be sell which is used to produce fashion garments and other items.There is a small market for seal oil and seal penises have been sold in Asian markets as an aphrodisiac. But for the meat, no market want it then the fishermen left the meat rot on the ice. In recent years, 100 000 seals have been killed annually in the commercial seal hunt. More than one million seals have been slaughtered in the past five years alone.

                                 Gojek suitable for Malaysia, but safety must be priortise

                           Nowadays, Gojek, a motorcycle-based transportation service provider which operates in five countries is also suitable for Malaysia, said Malaysian Ambassador to Indonesia Zainal Abidin Bakar.However the safety of those using the service should be of utmost importance, he said. Other than that, I think that in future Gojek is very effective, and can be applied in Malaysia.However the safety issue is a concern in Malaysia, and some matters relating to accidents and insurance need to be addressed by the authorities.Do you know what countries that still operating Gojek? The countries which operate Gojek currently are Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines and maybe Malaysia in future.

Zakir Naik should be sent back to India:

Malaysia Human Resources Minister M. Kulasegaran said India-born Islamic preacher Zakir Naik, a permanent resident of Malaysia, should not be allowed to remain in the country as he has no standing to critique Malaysian matters or cast aspersions on local communities. According to a report in the Malaymail, Kulasegaran said Zakir Naik's actions do not reflect one deserving of a permanent resident status and this will be brought up in the next cabinet meeting. Naik is an outsider who is a fugitive and has little knowledge of the Malaysian history. Kulasegaran also questioned Zakir Naik's motives in claiming that Indians in Malaysia were more loyal to Prime Minister Narendra Modi than Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad. As per the report, he also asked if the controversial preacher has been emboldened by his apparent immunity and privilege due to local Muslim support. It's time for the fugitive foreigner to leave Malaysia and to face charges of terrorism and money laundering charges in India, he said. India is currently pressing for negotiations with the international police organization Interpool to get a Red Corner Notice (RNC) issued against Zakir Naik. Earlier, Malaysia had refused to extradite the Islamic preacher to India on the grounds that Zakir Naik might not receive a fair trial.

FOREST FIRE IN JOHOR 

Firefighters battling to put out a massive forest fire in johor iskadandar putri distric have managed to extinguish about 70 oercent of the blaze. State local government, urban wellbeing and environment committe chairman Tan Chen Choon told a press conference on tuesday the forest fire situation in kampung Pekajang, which started burning on AUG 21, was still critical. The fires, which were sparked by dry weather in state, were spread ny strong wind while new hot spots also caused the fireto spread. A similar fire also broke out near legoland Malaysia and a hotel in the same district last saturday before it was put out by firefighters. About 70 percent of the 16ha of forest fire that is still burning has been succesfully extinguished

Social Issues In Malaysia

Recently , Malaysia has been taken by the storm with the news that our Ministry of Education would like to implement ‘Tulisan Jawi’ into the school syllabus. This has incited mixed reactions from the whole country.

While it is understandable that some parts of our Malaysian community would disagree with the implementation of ‘Tulisan Jawi’ into the school syllabus, in my opinion the reason as to their disagreement is unreasonable. Some people believe that this is a way for our government to Islamize our country. In my opinion, this is untrue because ‘Tulisan Jawi’ is a part of our Malaysian heritage. This can be a good way for  our country to immortalize our heritage. Other than that, this can enable school students to appreciate our country’s rich heritage and culture more. And for that reason , I agree that 'Tulisan Jawi' should be implemented into our school syllabus.

I've choose the CamScanner application. This app can be use not just for student, also the other people such as a teacher, a employee and many more. The app can easily use everywhere and everytime. So this will help people such as they no need to open the laptop or computer to rewrite a letter, a document, or whatsoever. This can save your time on doing it again. So, i think this is one of the app that student can get and use it for submit a document, an assignment, a homework to the lecturer or friends by only use a handphone. This app also can directly send a document by using an email. I have download the app on my mobile phone and i have use it several times. And in my opinion, this app is very helpful for me as a student.

My choice of application that is good for students is Youtube . Youtube is a video sharing platform. Literally anyone who has an internet connection can use Youtube. They can either watch other people's content , or create their own content that can be viewed by other people. Youtube as a whole has changed a lot from its early days. The site used to be very simple and there were not as many active users as there are today. Now , the most viewed videos has billions of views. The amount of monthly users is up to a staggering 1.5 billion. Not to mention that Youtube has virtually no competitors as no other video sharing platform has the amount of users or the amount of videos it has.

There are many ways that a student can utilize this app. For example , there are many videos regarding various topics on Youtube. If a student does not understand what the lecturer is trying to teach, they can easily search for the topic on Youtube that would be presented by another person.

Other than that, students can also use Youtube as a way to release their stress. There are many videos that can help students cope with their problems. For example, students can listen to their favourite songs. Other than that, students can also watch something heartwarming like cute cat videos or other wholesome videos.

In conclusion, we can learn almost everything and anything from Youtube. From learning cooking to learning how to sew a shirt. Students need to be able to utilize Youtube properly because there are many new knowledge to be learned from on Youtube. Other than that, being a content creator can help the student in gaining income because Youtube pays their content creators.

                          Photomath is a mobile application described as a camera which utilizes a phone's camera to recognise mathematical equations and to display the step-by-step solution onscreen. It is available for free on Google Android and IOS. The application was released in 2014 by United Kingdom. The company specializes in text recognition software.
                           As of 2016, apart from printed texts, it also recognizes handwriting and provides steps for the mathematical equation. Since 2017, Photomath has been operating as a separate company. It was included on the list of top 20 best teaching and learning apps placing third. It also received both praise and criticism from teachers.
                           If you are someone who is living in the digital age but misses the feel of pen and paper, this is the app for you. With Photomath, you can solve mathematical equations by hand on your phone or tablet. Rather than using a traditional calculator, performing equations by hand will help students to learn and remember formulas more easily. From the simplest to the most complex equations. Photomath also can recognize our handwriting and help us to learn math more easier than usual as a student.

But this apps have one disadvanteges which is its only very usefull for student in primary school...But why not for the others student. The lesson that I learned from this video is we should not be afraid to do anything we like to. When we can overcome the fear in our life, we can make our dream comes true and success depends on how we let our body works each day of our lifespan. This video shows me that we cannot give up when we are close to being successful. We can't afford happiness when we do not struggle for it. We also have to remind ourself constantly that we have to put our mind in the present and not at the future because fear only exists in thoughts of the future. So we have to always remind ourself that our mind is one of the key to be successful. Other than that, the video also tells us that we should not give up no matter what happens even we have reached at the bottom and failed too many times because success does not happen on time like what we thought so. We also should not always be in comfort zone of our life because anythings can happen.

I'm gonna describe about a video that i found  in youtube Prince EA's channel . He is one of the famous youtuber who made a video about motivation and some world's problem. So this is one of his video that he made about The School System. I've choose this video because i'm agreed about his speech. In this video , he has menifest about what actually the school system change. But then , there is actually none of them change since 150 years ago. He didn't say that school is not good. But, Albert Einsten once said " Everybody is a genius , but if you judge a fish by his ability to climb a tree. It will leave its whole live believing , that it is stupid". So, i think now school better prepared the kid for the future , not just for getting a good gred, but teach and get them prepared for a better world then. The population in this is world is 20% students but it is actually 100% our future. So in my opinion, if we really want the world change, then we also have to change our mindset too and the best way is start it from the school .

 The video that I have chosen for this assignment is about an ex policeman who was assigned to patrol The Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is a hotspot for people who are suicidal. It is infamous for being a place to commit suicide. The policeman named Kevin Briggs tells us about how he has dealt with a lot of suicide calls and suicidal people. For me the most interesting quote was that we do not need to help suicidal people. The act that we are there to listen might just be their turning point from committing suicide. 

The channel TED is a very interesting channel. It is a channel that consists of public speakers talking about a variety of topics. Most of the videos are a blast to watch as the speakers are experienced speakers. The way they present their topic makes us audience feel compelled  to watch. Students who watch this channel can gain confidence by learning how to perform public speaking. Other than that , students can also gain insight from listening to topics that are presented here on this channel. This is because the speakers are experts in their own field. From here , students can listen to a point of view of an expert. This is a good channel for a student to spend time on as students can learn a lot from this channel.
